Hotel Accommodations

If you have not booked your room at the Courtyard Marriott Carolina Beach, the NCJSA Conference Planning Committee recommends either the Golden Sands Hotel or the Hampton Inn. These hotels are accepting reservations for NCJSA conference attendees.  The Golden Sands has honored the state rate in the past.  You can contact either of the aforementioned hotels directly.  Golden Sands (910) 458-8334 or the Hampton Inn (910) 707-1770.

On behalf of the NCJSA Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce that registration for the 2018 Spring Conference is now available. Due to the success of the on-line registration proceswith Eventbrite, we are directing all interested parties to register on-line for the upcoming Spring Conference.

The Conference Planning Committee has been diligently working to provide the conference information to you in advance. The conference booklet listing speakers and workshop presenters is being finalized and will be available soon. While the Conference Planning Committee has made a concerted effort to ensure the accuracy of speaker/presenter information, please keep in mind it is subject to change upon publication and distribution.

2018 Spring Conference – NOW ACCEPTING PROPOSALS

The North Carolina Juvenile Services Association (NCJSA)  is pleased to issue a “Call for Presenters” for our upcoming Spring Conference.

Juvenile Justice professionals and other human service fields attend NCJSA conferences to network and share innovative approaches to address the challenges faced by youth involved in the juvenile justice system.

Workshop proposals will be reviewed with preference given to proposals based on relevancy, best practices, audience participation and skill-building.  Conference workshops should be 90 minutes in length allowing time for questions and answers. Evaluations at the conclusion of each session is mandatory.

DPS Pre-Conference Training Event Agenda

As a reminder, the DPS Pre-Conference event will be held on Monday, October 23rd and Tuesday, October 24th at the Courtyard Marriott at Carolina Beach.

This Fall we are extremely excited about our partnership with the North Carolina Teen Court Association for the Business Exchange and Networking Event.   Our signature Lip Sync Battle, Dance, and Game Night activities are guaranteed to keep the young and young at heart entertained as well.

DPS Pre-Conference Training

This year NCJSA has partnered with the Department of Public Safety, Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice-Juvenile Community Programs Section for a Pre-Conference two day training event for Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) funded program providers.   Please note there is a separate registration process for this Pre-Conference event.  Attached is the DPS  Pre-Conference Registration Form and Save the Date flyer.  Space is limited.  Please see attached documents for more details.
