Greetings NCJSA Board of Directors, Membership Body, and Juvenile Justice Professionals and Practitioners:
It is with a great sense of humility and enthusiasm that I’m writing you as the 2017 NCJSA President. I’m reminded of the many accomplishments of NCJSA during the previous year. We were able to increase awareness of juvenile justice issues to professionals across various disciplines, integrated new technologies into our business practices, and provided a platform for community leaders and organizations to collaborate on evidence-based programming and strategies.
Now we stand poised to embrace “Raising the Age” and build upon community partnerships to meet the needs of North Carolina’s youth. It is my sincere hope that you’ll join us at the “Coming of Age: The Future of Juvenile Justice in North Carolina” Spring Conference to learn innovative approaches and strengthen our existing network of services.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
Venecia Carr, NCJSA President
